Dear Adam Lippes,

Ever since I saw the silver tweed military jacket in your Autumn/Winter 2006 collection I have been completely besotted with your collections and have been promoting your lovely garments on my modest little blog every season faithfully. With my minimum wage first salary from my first job that I got since my arrival in the United Kingdom in 2006, I spent 1 week’s wages on the bolero version of the silver tweed military jacket. I wore it proudly for a few occassions and it still hangs beatifully on my clothing rack. It is also my favourite piece of clothing that I have ever owned without a doubt.

I was reminded of my love for you when I saw this trench coat on your website today. A subtle, never blinding gorgeous silver creation that I have been waiting for someone to make so that I could buy it. I saw plain perfection in my eyes this simple but beautifully formed coat. It called out to me immediately the moment I laid eyes on it and I knew that it was “the one”.

I know it will look great with my LBD under it or with jeans and pink satin blouse or with a pretty sun dress or with a jumper and navy tights for the winter, etc. But why oh god why does it cost US$495? I need a miracle. Adam Lippes if you ever read this, I love you! Send me this coat please! I’ll be forever grateful. I love you more than Marc Jacobs (oops did I just say that out loud?) because you keep making silvery goodness that I want. Is silver your favourite colour too Adam?

Anyway, I better go now. I hope that it will go on sale (sorry!) one day and be at a price where I can afford then. Meanwhile I will just keep dreaming of wearing this with my metallic black Topshop ruched dress and with my white marc jacobs studded flats on a lovely sunny slightly windy day on the beach front enjoying waffles with ice-cream on top.
