Lovin’ Lanvin

Lanvin’s fall/winter 2008-9 collection features a few strong trends which I’m sure will soon be replicated by the british high street very soon. The trash bag gets re-invented into chic, voluminous little black dresses which were teamed with tough looking elements like super dark eyeliner and black gloves whereas pleats became more sculptural to the body. My money is on the pleated trench coat (gimme! gimme!) and I hope that Zara will be kind enough to make an identical copy.

The other favourite of mine is definitely the gold metal capelet which is my idea of a perfect “trophy” jacket. If only I could have a closer look at the elements that makeup the whole thing, perhaps for once I should DIY something like that since I like it so much.
This collection remains the strongest collection I have seen throughout the past few fashion weeks, at least to me anyway.
