Mid-week Style Update

I finally bought myself a pair of Roman sandals (or what most of you call “gladiator sandals” after realizing all the other cool stuff I could accessorize it with. Before I was into “fashion & style”, I dressed like a military girl. I mainly wore combat trousers and vest tops. My colours were limited black, green, beige and camouflage print most of the time. It looks like I could be digging out my old combats and pairing them with the roman sandal, as its the only type of heels that seem appropriate with em.

I got mine on the cheap at £16.20 (not incl p&p of course) at La Redoute, which is the best catalogue company ever and they have a rep for making good quality stuff at low prices, so I am looking forward to receiving my lovely roman sandals in 7-10 days. I did think about splashing out £65 for the Nine West ones that everyone on the blogosphere seems to have, but I saw it in real life and wished that there was a bit of platform in the front as I am not very good at walking in heels. The ones shown below are in a nice purple, and as nice as they are, I opted for a dark brown pair since I don’t own any shoe (except boots) in brown - and yay they do have a bit of a platform. Leather soles too!! (hehe!)

Another piece of good news (for me anyway) that I have been trying to keep to myself since monday night is that I found the no.1 item on my wishlist. The June silver cropped leather jacket that I have fallen so deeply in love with since seeing them on Mischa for like 30 seconds on The OC. I have been searching on Ebay (almost daily!) for more than a year for it despite knowing that it was actually specially made for her. I even e-mailed the wardrobe stylist but got no reply. Anyway, this is like a couple sizes bigger than my usual American size. Its a Size Medium, and I’m usually an Extra small but I got it anyway because I may never have the chance of seeing it again. I’ll try to get it properly fitted when I’m back in Singapore (it’s much more affordable) but it really depends on how it fits when it arrives. It doesn’t seem to have the cool collar belt like the one Mischa has and the flaps on the chest are not in the right places. However, I am sure its made from the same material and is possibly the exact same jacket. I’ll compare again when I get it, hopefully sometime next week.

I’m also waiting for one more thing but I really don’t want to mention it, until I get it. I really don’t want to jinx it. I simply cannot wait for the jacket to arrive. I know I am going to wear it ridiculously loads. Its already my favourite jacket!
