I’m half Chinese and my hair is pretty Asian when it comes to dyeing. In general, I’d not recommend going for something bright red unless you’re willing to do a lot of upkeep. I’ve dyed mine red lots of times (with mixed results) in the past and no matter how good it looks at first, it’ll always fade into a dull, orangish tint. I’m sure that if you kept up with it and dyed it often it’d be fine, but red takes a lot of work. I read that the red dye molecules are biggest, so they wash out the fastest. And Asian hair tends to take every dye and turn it orange when it fades…. Anyway, good luck! I’ve finally come to love my real hair color. But I can definitely understand wanting a change.
