As if making covetable leather & fleece-lined hoodies ain’t enough, Mike & Chris have come up with some great alternative basic tops & dresses with interesting and unconventional details. They all look so layer-worthy for colder weather and yet worn alone it still looks so urban cool. Prices of their non-leather pieces usually ranges around $180-$300, making it more attainable than other contemporary designers. These (see above) are my favourite pieces but there are still a whole lot more on their website MikeandChris.com
The button up dress with large collar flaps (bottom, last one on the right) is probably my most favourite of all, seeing that it would be the perfect item to wear under my favourite silvery goodness. It looks like it could be worked into a sleeveless trench coat for day as well. How versatile! On the other hand, I am also loving the yellow dress with ruched sleeves. A monochrome striped cashmere jumper would look so fun with it for colder weather but in the summer, the addition of my new Jonathan Aston pink 15-denier tights will inject more girly fun into it. I can’t even begin to tell you how many jackets all these items will look so good under!
Definitely going on my wishlist of things i hope to buy. It is pieces like these that are so “wearable” that makes them worth every single penny.
P.s. That lovely leather waistcoat only reminds me that I want a leather waistcoat too.
